  3.     DIED. Victor Davis, 25, Canadian swimmer who won a gold and
  4. two silver medals at the 1984 Olympics and a silver medal at the
  5. 1988 Olympics; from brain and spinal injuries suffered when he was
  6. run down by an auto on Nov. 11; in Montreal. Davis had angrily run
  7. off three youths who were verbally abusing his girlfriend and
  8. another woman outside a convenience store. The youths drove away
  9. in a car, then turned around and rammed into Davis, according to
  10. his girlfriend.
